Tee It Forward (TIF)

See if you qualify to gain extra yardage off the tee

The Tee it Forward option allows you to play from the Gold tees, which can present up to a (seemingly) 200-yard advantage on some holes. The league uses a special, super-secret formula to determine your eligibility for TIF (formula available upon request), but basically we use a combination of your age, plus your 9-hole handicap, with special consideration given to those of you turning 70 this year. General Information

ITEM	DESCRIPTION
DATES	A 17-week long season beginning with the season opener on April 27th. The golf then continues on a weekly basis, every Monday until the final 18-hole "championship" round on August 31st. There is no scheduled play for May 25th (Memorial Day) and July 6th (4th of July), allowing everyone to take long holiday weekends.
GREEN FEES	The green fees are $38 (same as last year), and this fee includes a cart. Of note, the league is 9-hole, but you may continue playing additional holes at the end of the round if you desire. There is no discount if you elect to walk instead of ride.
OPENING ROUND	The first round will be on April 27th, and will be a full 18 holes. For this first round, you will play as a foursome with your other team members.
OPENING DAY DINNER	Immediately following the opening round, there will be a steak dinner and open bar hosted at the Village Club of Western Springs. This event is free for all league players and is highly recommended, especially for any new players.
RAIN DATES	We have designated August 24th as the official rain date (if needed). If not, you can form your own foursomes and play without team competition.
FINAL ROUND AND DINNER	The final round will be on August 31st. This round is considered the 18-hole "championship" round where players are free to designate their own foursomes. The tee times will be assigned separately. Immediately following this final round, a closing dinner will be held at the Village Club of Western Springs where yearly prizes (and money) will be distributed.
